Why Michael Pollan decided hitting sixty was a good time to try LSD – ABC News

When most people hit sixty, they take up a new hobby, but writer Michael Pollan decided to enter his senior years doing something a little more psychedelic.

In Michael’s new book, How to Change Your Mind, he writes about the developing world of psychedelic drug research and his experience trying LSD, mushrooms, ayahuasca and a whole range of hallucinogenic substances, all in the name of science.

Michael Pollan is a contributing writer to the New York Times Magazine, a Professor of Nonfiction Writing at Harvard University and Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley.

Michael is coming to Australia later this month and speaking at The Wheeler Centre.
